Like other monotremes, the platypus senses prey in cloudy h2o via electrolocation. The male platypus includes a spur within the hind foot that provides an especially painful venom, rendering it among the couple species of venomous mammals. This platypus was photographed swimming in a very creek near Scottsdale in Tasmania. Photograph credit: Charle
